Had a rare treat today: A scrap against Mark's Space Wolves! Haven't had a game with Mark since I cobbled my first 1,000 pt army together. The first time we battled, Mark made the hideous error of dropping Logan Grimnar and his Wolf Guard buddies right in front of a very well kitted-out Death Company and their Reclusiarch. Since then, of course, our armies and our mad skills have evolved quite a bit. Here's what went down...

Army status update
Just thought I'd try to get organized and keep track of what the hell I'm doing. So, here's what's going on. army by army:
Blood Angels
My first love and it shows. I think I've about 5,000 pts of Blood Angels now - quite enough to field a tremendous variety of builds, with 10 Assault Marines and 5 Scouts waiting to be properly painted up. No more Blood Angel purchases for a very, very long time, I daresay.
Necrons
WRAITHS! I WANT WRAITHS! But seriously, I've a comfortable 1750pt army which mostly gets the job done and is great fun to play. The Wraiths and Spyders look really awesome but they can wait, I think.
Chaos Space Marines
Have a 1750pt army which is fun to play, what with something like 500 pts put into bikers. That having been said, I refuse to touch Plague Marines, Lash of Submission and Obliterators, so everytime I've used that army was a struggle just to survive. I think I'll wait to see if the new codex is kinder to bikers.
Imperial Guard
Waiting for about 10 vehicles to arrive. Then I'm looking to try out some shenanigans with obscene amounts of firepower. Until then, I reallyhave to get the infantry elements prepared.
Grey Knights
Have about 15 Paladins and a Land Raider Crusader. Still need a little tweaking to bang it together into a viable Draigowing, and that's as far as I'm going to go with Grey Knights. Not a high priority, so this can wait til I manage to get bored of everything else.
Khador & Menoth
Still waiting for that damned battle box... When that happens, I'd like to get in a few games to get a better feel for the mechanics. Then, I'm looking to build 3 armies, each with a specific theme:
1) Infantry-heavy Sorscha (this will take a LONG time)
2) The Butcher and his brutes (lotsa Man-o-War units)
3) Kreoss' Crusade (lotsa Knights Exemplar)
Armies 2 & 3 are almost entirely plastic. It's just Sorscha that will take a while to piece together. Slowly does it...
So, what am I going to pull my wallet out for? Crap, I really don't know. I'll come back to think about this when the Battlebox arrives. Until then, hobby funding is FROZEN. Except for paints and brushes and glue, of course, assembly and paint MUST continue, lest I fall into the awful trap of accumulating ludicrous amount of grey plastic that never sees a gaming table...

AaaAAaaarrrgggh! My poor wallet!!!
Here I sit, waiting for bits of several fledgeling armies to arrive, most notably:
1) My mechanized IG: 3 x Chimeras, 2 x Leman Russ Demolishers, 2 x Valkyries, 1 x Manticore and 1 x Leman Russ Battletank;
2) My Warmachine Battlebox, which includes a 20-point army each of Khador and Menoth; and
3) More Warmachine stuff from eBay: A Khador heavy Warjack, War Dog and Manhunter.
And now THIS!
Oooh, now the gears are working in my twisted little head for the Crimson King to march with Wraiths...
For more details of prices and other GW May releases, go here. More pics of Necron stuff, including the Triarch Stalker and Tomb Blades, go here.

Army List: Flying Fists! 1750pts
I've been using this list quite a bit this past couple of weeks, getting in 3 games with it, and every time it was a blast to play. It's hits hard and fast and plays pretty well to the strengths of the Blood Angels, i.e. closing quickly to bring some close-combat oriented MEQ to bear in devastating charges, with Feel No Pain, Furious Charge, excellent mobility and a lot of power weapons all working in concert to provide a massive Turn 2/3 punch that very few armies can withstand or recover from.

Behold! My new objective marker/proxy whatever!
It's-a me, Mario!
Saw this critter on sale from some scruffy stall at 1MK and couldn't resist. I figured a plasma pistol and power axe would serve him a lot better on the battlefields of the 41st millenium than some magic mushrooms.

WIP: The Butcher!
Alas, my Battle Box has yet to arrive, so earlier this week I picked up the Khador book from Wolf, and on closer reading I decided how I'd go about Warmachining:
1) I wanted to play something with Sorscha. Something involving a fair amount of Winter Guard and Widowmakers, coz Sorscha is hawt (and coz Winter Guard + rocket launchers double pretty well as an Imperial Guard Veteran Squad with Grenade Launchers...), and her abilities seem to favour that way of warfare;
2) That would take a lot of time, so I decided to pick up a caster that would seriously enhance the Khador battlegroup in the Battle Box. I figured the Butcher would be the weapon of choice, so I picked him up on Friday night...

WIP: BA Sergeants
I'd mentioned earlier that I'd gotten a box of Tactical marines to get my Mech Angels to WYSIWYG-land. What I needed was 2 more sergeants with Infernus pistols and one more dude with a meltagun. I took the oppurtunity to refine my spraying technique a bit further. Here's how it went...

Brief Batrep: Blood Angels vs Tau, 1750pts
Alas, no pics this time, but this Batrep, there isn't much need for pics. I brought the new Furioso out to play against Jin's gunline Tau list. My list was put together to be swift, bold and brutal...

Furioso WIP
I'll just leave this here:
Still quite a bit of work to do, particularly on the base and line highlighting, but I'd be quite happy to plonk him on the tabletop and try him out. You can't quite tell from this pic, but Dragon Red still isn't quite the same as good old Blood Red, or whatever it is they call it these days, now that GW has revamped their paint colours. And I'll bet the damn bottles have gotten smaller again, too...

Current projects update...
Just an update of my current projects. You see, this past couple of weeks, I've been stumbling into a lot of good cheap GW and Warmachine stuff. As such, my gaming budget has been hopelessly blown for this month and probably the next 2 months, as well.
How cheap, exactly? Well you have to understand, I'm in Malaysia. Tabletop wargaming goodies aren't easy to come by around here. For example, at the FLGS I wage war at, a squad of Tactical Marines is MYR143. At current exchange rates, that's about GBP29, which is GBP6 over the UK retail price. So, I was fairly chuffed to find...
