MUCH Work In Progress!

It arrived! At long last, it arrived! Not from eBay, mind you. I got nothing from them but, thankfully, a refund. I picked up my copy of the Battle Box from the ever-friendly Wolf. Here it is:

Ah, the majesty...Fun fact: The cover art shows every mini in the Battle Box. No more, no less. Nice, eh?

You don't need me to tell you what's inside it, but here are a couple of highlights...

First off, the diddy rulebook! I LOVE this thing! No more will I have to lug my whopping great copy of Prime MKII. Granted, I've grown quite fond of Prime, but man, lugging that together with my usual gaming kit does take its toll on my old slipped disc...

Yay! My next Khador caster! I was a little worried about her delicate little arms, but the resin is surprisingly tough. Can't wait to get her painted up and ready to gut some pansy Scyrah warcasters...

Kreoss, my next caster and the heart of my next army. My Menoth force is going to take a while. At present, I'm focusing on my Khador forces. That having been said, I'm liking how my collection of Menoth is taking shape.

The first of 5 Cinerators. Wonderfully easy to assemble. At this point, the arms are held in place with Blu-tack. They'll be removed for easier access and glued into place when the painting is done.

A couple of days before the Battle Box came into my possession, another shipment of goodies arrived...

Bombardiers! A perfect complement to Battle Box's Shocktroopers, and one of very few models in my Khador army which doesn't swing a big horrible axe around...

Bits and bobs to the Winter Guard Deathstar. The unit attachment means a nice boost to the Guard's DEF with the Bob and Weave order, meaning DEF 17 (!) with the Butcher's Iron Flesh on them. Having the option to pepper squishy enemy infantry with grapeshot is also pretty neat. Kovnik Joe is the cherry on top, whose speeches will make the full 15-man Winter Guard Deathstar something to be truly feared. With the Butcher supporting them with his feat, the Guard could well annihilate anything before them with a brutal salvo of blunder buss and rocket fire, 6 shots at RAT 7, POW 14, 3 shots at RAT 5, POW 12, all with boosted attack and damage rolls... ooh, the carnage...

Anyway, that's it from me. Expect more posts on Warmachine while I my 40k armies await the coming of 6th...
